Breez ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Breez mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from those services. We do not receive or store your Google or Apple password.
Location data: When you grant location permission, we use your device's GPS to show businesses near you and to calculate distances. We use your location in real time for these purposes but we do not store your raw GPS coordinates in our database. Your location is used in the moment and then discarded.
Wait time reports and verifications: When you submit a report or verify a wait time, we store the location you reported on, the wait level you selected, any optional note you wrote, and the timestamp. Reports are displayed to other users with your tier badge only, not your name or email.
Usage data: We log when you view a location detail screen (location ID and timestamp) to track how many people checked a business's wait time. This data is not linked to your identity when shared with businesses.
Device information: We collect basic device information (device type, operating system version) for app performance and bug fixing. We do not collect your device's unique advertising identifier.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share aggregated, anonymized data with businesses (e.g., "247 people checked your wait time this month") but this data never includes your name, email, or identity. We may share your information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
Your account information is retained as long as your account is active. Wait time reports and verifications are retained indefinitely to improve our historical data and accuracy. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing hello@breez.fyi.
Breez is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication through Supabase, and row-level security policies on our database. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.

By using the Breez app, you agree to these terms.
Breez provides estimated wait times at businesses using publicly available data from Google and user-submitted reports. Wait times are estimates, not guarantees. Actual wait times may differ from what the app displays. Breez is not responsible for decisions you make based on the information in the app.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You agree not to share your login credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
When you submit a report or verification, you agree that:
We reserve the right to remove reports and suspend accounts that violate these guidelines.
Breez Bucks are points earned through app activity. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for money. We may adjust the points system, earning rates, tier thresholds, and any future redemption options at any time.
The Breez app, its design, code, content, and brand are owned by Breez. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the app.
Breez is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to: inaccurate wait time estimates, missed appointments, business closures, or any other decisions made based on information in the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid to use Breez (which is $0 for the free tier).
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by emailing hello@breez.fyi.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota.
